Companies that have equipment for donation can provide a list of the equipment to be donated with the following information for each item (send to claire@equipmentjunction.org):

  1. Make and model of equipment (req’d)

  2. Estimated year of purchase (or production for OEM) (req’d)

    3. Used not working – minor repairs needed (e.g. replace bulb, other repairs estimated to cost less than $500)

    4. Used not working – major repairs needed (e.g. repairs estimated to cost more than $500)

  6. Serial number

EJI will review the collection and respond within 7 days with one of the following responses

  1. We will collect all of the proposed equipment and provide a statement of value for tax deduction for review by donating company.  If you agree with the value of the tax deduction we will schedule pick up.

  2. We will collect some of the proposed equipment (we will identify which items are of interest) and provide a statement of value for tax deduction for review by donating company.  If you agree with the value of the tax deduction we will schedule pick up.

  3. We are interested in one or more items but we cannot pick it up (due to distance and/or estimated value of the equipment – it would not cover the cost of us to pick it up)  If the company is willing to proceed, they can ship the equipment to us absorbing the shipping cost.  We will provide a tax deduction letter for the value of the equipment and we will communicate what that value is for review by the donating company.  We will also provide a tax deduction letter for the cost of the shipping.

  4. We are not able to collect any of the proposed equipment.

Liability

EJI authorized signer will sign any statement from the donating company releasing liability due to personal injury resulting from misuse of the equipment.
